{egg} we steeled ourselves for hours of cleaning in preparation for The Parent's visit. strangely, we only had to tidy up the miscellaneous books, papers, and clothes. after running the dishwasher and giving the counters a perfunctory once-over, we settled in to watch some stupid comedy. i ended up drunk and getting a pair of minimalist ankle boots. i feel no guilt.
